The Not So Fun Part

I'm just naturally good at everything, just ask my husband.  Unfortunately that includes producing the hormone Relaxin... its what makes your ligaments stretchy to fit the baby as well as softening your bones to move out of the way. Well when you produce too much too early in pregnancy it actually separates the pelvic bone.  What does that mean? Well in my case, excruciating pain for almost 24 hours a day. I try not to even talk about it but honestly at times I cry with the thought of 20 more weeks of this and I find myself fighting depression.  I tell you this because I need prayer. The great news is, once the baby is out, everything spontaneously goes away!  Hurry up June!  Of course God has done so many miracles in my life... this will just be my next story to tell.

Pregnant Girl Problems #6

Who stole my brain?

After working at my office for 17 years I actually forgot how to use the phone yesterday.  Did you hear me? Good, cause I forgot where I was going with that...

Pregnant Girl Problems #5

You are not allowed to give me a list of names I can’t give my child in the event you have a baby.  Guess what?  Not everyone in the world has a unique name.  You’ll get over it.

Pregnant Girl Problems #4

No matter how “cute” or “funny” you think you are, calling me a whale will only get you into trouble.

Pregnant Girl Problems #3

To my non-mommy friends, when we are at a party, I know you want me to have fun, but dragging me out to the dance floor will only make me hate you. It’s never a good idea for a pregnant lady to drop it like it’s hot.  (Have you SEEN Snookie?)

A Miracle

Do you ever wonder – how do I know when I hear God’s voice?

God has done many miracles in my life.  I wanted to share one of them.

About 10 years ago I was sitting in a church service crying. I felt completely devastated in the relationship that I was in and was crying out to God for a miracle. A man came up to me and began to pray over me. He told me to stop my crying that God was going to do a work in my life that would bring abundant joy like I have never experienced and that I would have 3 beautiful children.

I walked away thinking he got the message wrong or he MUST have given it to the wrong person.  You see I was never going to have children. I stayed in that relationship for 7 years after that prayer. I reminded God all the time… “You promised me!”

A few years ago I met an amazing man who brings me abundant joy on a daily basis.  He loves me like I’ve never been loved before. He doesn’t even have to say a word, just the way he looks at me and takes care of me, it's all I need to know. He asked me to be his wife.  He encouraged me that it wasn't too late to start a family. And you know how many kids he wants? You guessed it, three.

We planned our destination wedding for September and on the day we go to the airport to get on our flight… guess who was on the plane with us?  The man who prayed over me 10 years before.

Of course if you’re reading this blog you would also know that I’m pregnant. I got pregnant on our wedding night.

God works in amazing ways, his timing is perfect and he is faithful to bring to completion all that he has promised.  But you have to hang on to His word, sometimes for 10 years longer than you thought…

Pregnant Girl Problems #2

Please don’t tell me I’m “over-reacting” on the rare chance that I do. When your hormones reach Mock 6 we’ll see how well you can control it.

Pregnant Girl Problems

If you grab my tummy to “feel it” be assured that I will immediately be feeling you up as well.  Yes it will be awkward, but you started it.
